HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA, CANADA – January 28, 2019 – InterTalk Critical Information Systems is pleased to announce that they have won Gold in the Innovative Business of the Year category at the 2019 Halifax Business Awards, hosted by the Halifax Chamber of Commerce on January 24, 2019. It was another great night for InterTalk, as they were also finalists in the Export Business of the Year category.
The Halifax Business Awards are the Chamber’s most glamorous event of the year, boasting an amazing night of entertainment, prestige, and celebration, recognizing the risk takers and successes of Halifax’s thriving business community. The event was made all the more fun and entertaining by featuring a Circus theme for attendees, complete with aerialists doing acrobatics, stilt walkers, and other fun entertainment.
The Halifax Business Awards, now in its 19th year, featured Gold, Silver and Bronze winners in six categories: New Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Export Business of the Year (nominee), Innovative Business of the Year (nominee, winner), Business of the Year, and Business Leader of the Year. Nominees for InterTalk’s winning category, the Innovative Business of the Year, must have an active business located or operating in Halifax, the majority of the business must have provincial ownership, headquarters must be located provincially within Nova Scotia, and nominees must have introduced an innovative product or service on or before August 31, 2018 (or be operating in a mode where innovation is built into the culture of the company).
InterTalk would like to offer congratulations to its fellow nominees across both categories, and also offer a special congratulations to REDspace, who took the title of Export Business of the Year from us after a stellar year (InterTalk won 2018 Export Business of the Year).
