It was a big night for InterTalk, as they were also finalists in the Business of the Year category.
The Halifax Business Awards are the Chamber’s most glamorous event of the year, boasting an amazing night of entertainment, prestige, and celebration, recognizing the risk takers and successes of Halifax’s thriving business community. The event was made all the more “glam”, as it was the first gala hosted in the brand new, world-class Halifax Convention Centre in the heart of downtown Halifax.
The annual event, now in its 18th year, featured Gold, Silver and Bronze winners in six categories: New Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Export Business of the Year (nominee, winner), Innovative Business of the Year, Business of the Year (nominee) and Business Leader of the Year. To qualify for Export Business of the Year consideration, nominees must have a business based in Halifax Regional Municipality, be locally-owned, and a minimum of 40% of business customers, partners or revenues must come from markets outside of Canada.
“2017 was a milestone year for InterTalk – we celebrated our 20th year in business, we moved into our long-planned new headquarters, and we continued to grow with the award of new major contracts in the U.S. and the further addition of highly skilled local talent to work on those projects.” said Chris Oldham, President of InterTalk. “To be recognized as the Export Business of the Year is a tremendous honor for the InterTalk team – we look forward to reaching even further in 2018!”.
