Dispatch News

In Q3 of 2024, the InterTalk team was hard at work expanding both telephony and P25 supplementary service features in Enlite. Read until the end to get a sneak peek of the new Enlite Push-to-Talk application that is currently in development. This app will allow those in the field to easily send and receive PTT communications on their iOS and Android devices.

New Features

P25 Supplementary Services (Query, Radio Check, Detach, Inhibit, and Uninhibit)

We have added P25 Supplementary Services GUI elements to make it easy to send various P25 Services Messages, including STATUS QUERY, RADIO CHECK, RADIO DETACH, RADIO INHIBIT, and RADIO UNINHIBIT. These messages can be added to a mission quickly while providing for configuration of colors and font size.

Duplicate Channel Button

To assist system administrators during the setup of Enlite, we have added a “Duplicate Channels Button” to the Channel Admin menu. Previously, administrators would have to create the channel in Enlite, re-typing the same host, port, and STUN information for each channel. Adding a channel can now be completed by selecting a known channel and pressing the “Create Duplicate” button on the right-hand side of the Channel Admin menu. When pressed, this loads in the existing data from the duplicate channel and clears/focuses on the extension field, saving time and resources.

Custom Number Speed Dials

Previously, an admin would only be able to create a speed dial if the contact was already in the available system contact. Now, when creating a new speed dial, the option to create a new contact has been added to make screen building more intuitive.

Speed Dial – Select Phone Line

For administrative personnel building mission screens, we have added the option to assign speed dials to non-default phone lines. If your agency has access to several phone lines, this will assist in building groups of speed dials.

Enlite API Documentation

To aid 3rd party system integrators, we have built out and updated the Enlite™ API documentation. This documentation will enhance the ability for system integrators to expand the functionality outside the original scope of Enlite by allowing them to connect to and program in new users, channels or other admin and reporting interfaces.

Around the Corner

Enlite Push-to-Talk Field Communicator

InterTalk is currently developing a new iOS / Android compatible mobile application that will be available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store for use with your InterTalk Dispatch Console System or Enlite Cloud Ready Dispatch deployment.

The InterTalk™ PTT App is designed for seamless channel selection, Push-to-Talk (PTT), and channel monitoring on iOS & Android mobile devices. This application leverages InterTalk’s robust Enlite platform to deliver reliable and efficient communication solutions that users can access through their devices in the field.
