DARTMOUTH, NOVA SCOTIA, CANADA – August 22, 2018 – InterTalk Critical Information Systems announced today that it has been sub-contracted to provide a turnkey radio/telephone dispatch console solution to the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems (MIEMSS) in the United States. MIEMSS manages all aspects of the Maryland Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and its statewide communications system.
InterTalk is proud to be a part of this project, as it is a vitally-important communications system for the residents of Maryland. The MIEMSS communication system links emergency medical helicopters, ambulances, hospitals, dispatchers, and paramedics together to provide direct communications between those parties during the critical “first minutes” of an emergency. InterTalk’s integrated products will streamline communications both out in the field and at dispatch centers.
“The MIEMSS project is an exciting one for InterTalk, as it allows us the opportunity to truly flex our technology and innovation muscles, with several features and functionalities being implemented into MIEMSS’ system to make it work in concert. We are proud to be part of a team tasked with providing the citizens of Maryland and Washington, DC seamless emergency medical communications now and into the future” said Chris Oldham, President of InterTalk.
InterTalk will be providing the dispatch consoles, logging recorder system, and remote radio site controllers designed for redundancy and geo-diversity across all five regions of the MIEMSS network.
InterTalk will begin deployment of this system in Q4 of 2018.
