“We are proud of this significant achievement, as it further demonstrates our commitment to information security, and ultimately, providing quality products and services to all of our customers,” said Chris Oldham, Vice President of Operations at Pantel. “We recognize the growing importance of information security in today’s communications systems, and as the first and only console manufacturer in North America to receive this certification for ISMS, we share our customers’ desire for ensuring the security of their data.”
Kevin Brown, Manager of Quality Assurance & Information Security at Pantel, spearheaded the company’s certification efforts. “ISMS is much more than encrypted emails and password protections” says Brown. “It requires a thorough review of the entire company’s operations and infrastructure, for the purpose of risk mitigation towards information security”.
With the sheer volume of sensitive and confidential information flowing through radio dispatch console systems, and extended through its support infrastructure, pursuing this ISO 27001:2013 certification was a natural extension of Pantel’s quality commitment to its customers and end-users.
