This facility will replace our current location in Burnside, which has been our home for the last 20 years. In fact, it was from this facility that Nova Scotia’s provincial E911 system was designed and implemented in 1994. As the company has grown over the past five years, the current facility has been expanded several times to accommodate additional staff and testing equipment. Nonetheless, the site has reached its maximum capacity to adequately support our growing team and operational requirements. InterTalk’s new facility will more than double our current footprint, setting us up for success well into the future.
Aside from more elbow room for our engineering, technical service, and sales personnel, the new facility will feature an extensive support infrastructure for meeting our customers’ technical support requirements. Expanded R&D labs will also gain much-needed improvements, and we will realize an increase in manufacturing capacity. The new site will also allow us to better meet the needs of our current (and new) customer base, while we aggressively pursue growth in the North American market, as well as new opportunities overseas.
InterTalk expects this facility to be completed by end of summer 2017, and all staff members are looking forward to rolling up their sleeves and helping out with the big move.
