DARTMOUTH, NOVA SCOTIA, CANADA – April 10, 2019 – InterTalk has been awarded a contract with Boston Emergency Medical Services (BEMS) to upgrade their existing dispatch console system after successfully completing a competitive procurement process. Serving approximately one million people, BEMS is the primary emergency medical services provider for the City of Boston, responding to over 126,000 clinical incidents and completing nearly 86,000 medical transports in 2018. BEMS’ 5-postion console system features redundancy capabilities, will take advantage of InterTalk’s infinite scalability for potential future operational growth, and will integrate with an analog NICE logging recorder system.

“We are very pleased to earn Boston EMS as a partner, and modernize their existing radio dispatch console system.” said Jeff Kelly, Sales & Marketing for InterTalk, “InterTalk was selected as the vendor of choice for the reasons we consistently tout: we are a highly cost-competitve console provider that provides no-compromise, exact-fit solutions for our customers. This project is no different, and speaks to the strength of our development and support staff to bring BEMS’ vision to life with this system.”

The award is the latest in the public safety market for InterTalk, with this project scheduled to conclude near the end of Summer 2019.
